Good news...! Thanks to Support from the Caradon Hill area Heritage project we have Kim Moreton an Associate Teaching Fellow at University of Exeter running the survey workshop on the 12th of June at Liskeard public hall.
Kim is a chartered surveyor who is working for the school of Mines training underground surveyors. So this is an excellent chance for beginners and experts alike to learn about how to survey industrial remains, above and below ground. And have a play with the kit :-)
At the workshop Kim will also be arranging a possible underground training session at the Holman's test mine, a brilliant opportunity. For the none undergrounders then there will be a chance to arrange a Wheal Victoria session ( using our kit). Something for everyone who wants to get involved in active industrial archaeology
