Robey Trust Visit-October 2012

Trevithick Society members enjoyed an excellent visit to the Robey Trust at Tavistock last Saturday. Lots of live steam, engines in action and a memorable tour around the the town behind a traction engine. Many thanks to the Trust for their hospitality.

The Society's Robey Trust Live steam event is this weekend at Tavistock,
Meet at the Robey Trust 11am , Sat 27th October, will include stationary engines in operation as well as traction engines in live steam....should be good. Donations will be welcome by the Trust towards the cost of coal for the day. Look forward to seeing you there.

The East Cornwall Branch will have a display of some of  Derek Parson's map collection at this year's Heritage exhibitions at Liskeard....see below for information about the events.

26th June – 6th July 2012

An exhibition by the village and parish historians who live or
work within the Caradon Hill area about their own
settlements.

There will be exhibits about the past lives, industries and
associated structures of those who lived in and around
Darite, St. Cleer, Linkinhorne, Moorswater, North Hill, Pensilva
and St. Neot

There will also be an exhibition by those who live and work in
the area now about how they interpret these locations
today.
